How I Created Sunflowers

Creating Sunflowers without a brush:

Sunflowers 1 Acrylic paint applied loosely to 50 x 60cm 140lb dampened watercolour paper with wet kitchen towel, and stamped with sequin waste to provide texture.

Sunflowers 2 Sections were ‘knocked back’ using white apint applied with a baby wipe and form was created using sponges and a palette knife.

Sunflowers 3 Darks were applied with Brusho sprayed with water.

Sunflowers 4 Collage applied and interest added using stencilled letters and texture plates.

Sunflowers (584x800) Finishing touches with more palette knife and oil pastels.
